Positive Reviews

Beautiful calm setting overlooking the Nelspruit

One of the most memorable parts of a stay here is the stunning view offered over the town and the Lowveld. This can be witnessed not only from the balconies in the rooms, but also from the large deck outside. The best and most atmospheric moment seems to be at sunset from the confines of the restaurant. The beautiful and peaceful grounds of the hotel are also well appreciated, especially around the nice pool area.

A real treat

Staying at this lodge is a real indulgence for many guests. The establishment is just so well presented and oozes luxury. The attention to detail and personal welcome also stand out, with free sherry supplied in the rooms and very professional and friendly staff.

Delicious food

The quality of the meals served at the establishment is of such a high standard that many guests don’t feel the need to eat out. The day starts off with an excellent fresh buffet breakfast and is often finished off by a divine meal in the gourmet restaurant – The Orange. The restaurant has a great reputation, being seen as one of, if not the best place to dine in Nelspruit.

Negative Reviews

Design faults exposed

Guests are quite often baffled when they discover the open-plan design of the family suite. It may look contemporary and stylish, but is not at all practical for people staying with children or friends, and can even be a source of embarrassment. This is because the bathroom is not at all separated from the rest of the room. The shower cabinet is totally transparent and guests can’t even have any privacy whilst using the toilet.
