About The Border Post, Bed and Breakfast

The Phatt Chef Roadside Diner, relocated from Clarens in 2014, Is a old stone farm house situated on the top on Olevireshoek Pass in the Northern Drakensberg overlooking the Sterkfontein Dam and Amphitheater Mountain. There are 5 ensuite Bed and Breakfast rooms available with either a double bed or 2 single beds. Choose from a garden view or a mountain view. A few MTB trails are available at The Phatt Chef as well as short yet beautiful walks down to the Sterkfontein Dam or to Lone Tree with a stunning view overlooking the Amphitheatre. There is a A La Carte restaurant available. Serving Breakfast, Lunches and teas to passing by guests and Dinners to in house guests on request. Visit the Royal Natal National Park and choose one of their many hiking trails and spend the day hiking in the breathtaking Drakensberg mountains. All Out Adventures offers Zip Lines, Quad Bikes and paint-balling for the more adventurous travelers or visit The Northern Horse for a sunset horse ride. Take a drive to Clarens, a small village with many art galleries, craft shops and restaurants, only a 1 hour easy drive from The Phatt Chef.
