Durban is the largest city in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). A wall-sized shark aquarium is visible from most of the dining areas. You can enjoy seeing a huge array of fish and shark species, jumping dolphins shows, shark and manta ray feeding, and so much more. There is even a 'Dangerous Creatures' exhibit, which includes various reptiles, amphibians and arachnids.

If you are a nature lover, be sure to pay a visit to Valley of a1000 Hills. After just a 30-minute drive from the city, you will be completely surrounded by tranquillity. Experience a combination of relaxed, luxury country living with an ancient and diverse culture. Durban Botanical Gardens is another beautiful place to visit for a picnic or to enjoy a live music event. It is currently the oldest surviving botanic garden on the African continent and Durban's oldest public institution – developed in 1849.

For the best view of the city, a visit to Moses Mabhida Stadium is a must. Named after Moses Mabhida, a former General Secretary of the South African Communist Party, the stadium was built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It is now a multi-use stadium, hosting many events and activities. The most popular activity at the stadium is a ride in the SkyCar – a single cabin that runs up steel tracks on the northern arch of the stadium and is designed to roll down the arch under its own gravity. Another stop for nature lovers is Umgeni River Bird Park. It is situated in 3.5 hectares of lush, tropical landscape and is home to more than 800 birds from 200 species – some of which are the only representatives of their kind in Africa.
